Year is not settled yet but thats the plan! We were at Eagle lake this 4th and were amazed by how peaceful it was because there were not alot of people there! They do have fireworks on the lake which should make for a great night!
I have a hard time keeping secrets from Jason and not telling him everything. I have been thinking about how hard it will be to not show him my dress but I want it to be the day of kinda thing so wish me luck!
I wont have more news until September so have a great couple of weeks!

Eagle Lake Camping it is!
So, Jason is in love with Eagle lake as much as I am and for the last week this has been the decision! Its a 4 - 5 hour drive but totally worth it! You get to drive through a forest and other lake areas including a town called Chester. Chuck Norris has a summer home there so when you come up for the wedding go to the chester frozen yogurt shop and you might have a CN sighting!
The plan is to reserve a spot for everyone at my wedding to have there own camping area! 1 spot that holds 100 people! SO the reservations: Friday - Sunday with a Marriage on Saturday with Saturday Dinner and Sunday Breakfast provided by us! Susanville is the nearest town and its an hour and a half from Reno (We sometimes go home this way when Jason gets the gambling bug!)
Anyways off to cook the finace some yummy 'ghetti!

Bringing the Dogs along!
If you dont already know I LOVE my dogs! They are my bestest of friends! Always a happy face and a wagging butt to meet you at the door after a long day. So if I can, I will have them involved in the wedding as much as possible. (yes i am slightly crazy about my dogs lol)
So now that I am not sure about location I have a task this weekend! I found 3 parks in the area that all have things about them I love. Its outside and the dogs not only an be there when we get married but they get to help us pick the park! They might think im crazy 3 parks in one day but I think they can handle it!
So not only do I get to worry about what I wear and Jason, now the dogs too!

I found this awesome site! There are many and it will be awhile before I make my final decision but they are just too darn cute. Im thinking about the satin necktie and collar. And for $25.00/dog its not too bad because it comes with 3 interchanging ties! In 3 different colors. My dogs will be pimpin for any celebration now!

Locations, Schmolcation, BLOWCATION!
When it really comes down to it I have no idea where I wanna get married. To me Eagle lake is the most peaceful, quiet, and beautiful place I have ever been. I sat there for just an hour recently smelling the air and listening to nature and to me it would be ideal! I can get a huge camp spot so everyone can camp with us and we can have a huge campfire reception. Issue: its a 4-5 hour drive. Am I being selfish? No, but I do want people there...
As for Tahoe...if I did it there because I dont know the location alot I have no plan for a reception so I feel like really should I even waste invitations for a Sunday (if i do it in tahoe) Wedding where ya have to rush home or get a hotel. Ugh...things I think about.
Then im like a backyard...or a park...or this...or that...I have no freaking clue what im doing. COURTHOUSE PLEASE?

Why I Choose to Blog and a couple fun links!
Some may think im crazy. Let that be your opinion. But most likely you havent had to go through the stresses of trying to plan a wedding at all. From the big stuff like location to the little stuff like what kinda shoes.
I have a large family, include into that my derby family, and we are talking in the upwards of 200 people that I can update easily through one blog. Much Easier!

He Proposed! August 01, 2010
It is official! After being with the man of my dreams for 5.5 years, Jason proposed to me the morning of Sunday August 1st. He is by far the most amazing man I have known. He is good to me, no he is super duper great to me and I really am lucky to have found someone like him. Jason is very goal orientated and I hope that I can help him acheive whatever goals he may set for the rest of our lives, because I know without asking, Jason is already my #1 fan and supports anything I choose to do (even if it sounds insane like roller derby with screws in my ankle) He offers his shoulder to cry on, he holds me when im sad, hes my best friend, and I am so happy that I get to marry him.
Alot of questions have been asked so far from whens the date, to how did he do it, did you know, etc. Therefore Im gonna answer them all right here!
Date: TBD ~ we have not discussed this but Im thinking about August next year.
How did he do it?
He had planned to ask me on the first but had no detail concrete plans on the how to's so far. If you know Jason he is very political and is into everything politics. He drew me a 'why we shouldnt get married' diagram in a Glenn Beck style and proceeded to show me why if this new law passes we shouldnt legalize a marriage. Typical me, typical female, typical emotions, and I blew this up out of proportion. So as we lay in bed discussing marriage he laid a ring box on my chest! This is typical us and I really couldnt have asked for anything more. It was perfect in its own way.
Did I know?
Kinda! With our pending vacation coming up and no plans certain questions led to certain answers and poor Jason, when he is hiding something he gets this boyish child grin and it gives it away that there is something he knows which I do not. My questions led me to believe that it might happen soon. But never did I think August 1st!
Where are you gonna do it?
Lake Tahoe or Eagle Lake. There are so many good things about both its now just about finalizing the decision and making the plans financially and then hopefully we can share the date!
So keep an eye on my blog! Ill be updating with cheap finds, cool tricks, and other wedding oriented items that I run across in my planning for myself!
